Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer (1986) True Crime/Serial Killer Movie Review

Frequently cited as one of the scariest movies ever, 1986’s ‘Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer’, is one of the most visceral, raw, realistically unsettling and disturbing films of the 1980s, or ever. With raw, powerhouse performances by Michael Rooker, in the title role, and Tom Towles, and Tracy Arnold, and a darkly hypnotic score, and a documentary feel, it depicts the fictionalized speculations of the murderous activities of real life, notorious serial killers Henry Lee Lucas and Otis Toole.
