Dr. Ming Wang and I AM IN

According to Angel Studios, Dr. Ming Wang has given back to the world in a big way. The Wang Foundation for Sight Restoration, a 501c(3) non-profit charity founded by Dr. Wang, has helped patients from over 40 states in the U.S. and 55 countries worldwide, with all sight restoration surgeries performed free-of-charge. As a co-founder of another 501c(3) non-profit organization, the Common Ground Network, Dr. Wang is dedicated to helping people find common ground and solutions to problems in order to achieve more success and happiness.

Dr. Wang and his story in Sight is inspiring a lot of positive, progressive action. Angel Studios has teamed up with B&B Theaters to help audiences with any sensory differences to still enjoy the film. As Paul Farnsworth, Executive Director of Communications and Content at B&B Theatres, says:

“Everyone deserves the chance to enjoy the magic of the movies, and we are working hard to create innovative and progressive solutions so that all guests feel welcome, accommodated, and comfortable when entering our facilities. These efforts include things like
free sensory backpacks, adult changing stations, Step n Wash stools, open captioning and sensory showtimes, nursing areas, and so much more
. We have created custom employee training pieces in conjunction with Kansas City Behavioral Health to help our team members with basic American Sign Language and Spanish.”

Additionally, Angel Studios and Dr. Wang have launched a social movement, ‘I AM IN,’ to encourage Chinese people to share their stories, because there are many more everyday heroes. “We believe that Hollywood needs to share more Chinese stories, and American society needs to celebrate the contributions of our Chinese neighbors,” said Dr. Wang. “Through the ‘I AM IN’ campaign, we hope to promote greater understanding and appreciation of the Chinese community in North America.”
