The Mystery of Anatahan Island Survivors: 32 Men & 1 Woman Stranded for 7yrs

In 1944, during the height of World War II, a group of 32 Japanese sailors and one woman found themselves stranded on the remote Anatahan Island in the Pacific Ocean. The woman, Kazuko Higa, was the wife of one of the sailors. The circumstances surrounding their arrival on the island remain shrouded in mystery, with various theories suggesting they were either survivors of a shipwreck or deserters from the war. Cut off from the outside world, the survivors faced immense challenges in their fight for survival, enduring harsh conditions, scarcity of resources, and conflicts among themselves. What truly happened among the 32 men, but only 20 survived at the end?
