The state of New Hampshire boasts the shortest saltwater shoreline of any American state, stretching from Maine’s border in the north to Massachusetts in the south. Nearby is the popular Isles of Shoals, a cluster of 9 islands just a few miles off the coast of the mainland, and a vacation destination for locals for the last 130 years, which also happens to be one of the earliest settlements for europeans in the region.
